Surfside A Historic Landmark
Surfside first appeared in the annals of early California history as part of a Spanish land grant called Rancho Los Bolsas. It next appears s the Surfside oil leasehold which became a famous producer at the turn of the century.
Recently, removal of the last of the Surfside oil derricks closed another chapter in California history as Security Fore began construction of a new 20th century landmark. Dedicated to the finest in year 'round seashore living, this $20,000,000 planned development has been appropriately named Surfside, Homes by the Sea.
